Tropical Storm Chris – Operations Update #2

Update #2 – 08/03/06
Tropical storm Chris has lost intensity since last night. A recent weather update stated that the storm is sustaining 40mph winds. The storm is moving west -northwest at 12mph and is expected to continue on that path for the next 24 hours.
Barges and Vessels:
The Jacksonville voyage 91n has an ETD from San Juan 8/3/06 with an ETA into Jacksonville on 8/8/06 on schedule.
The La Reina voyage 30s sailed Pennsauken on 7/28/06 with an ETA into San Juan 8/4/06 one day late.
The El Conquistador voyage 92s sailed Jacksonville on 7/30/06 with an ETA into San Juan 8/5/06 one day late.
Currently, we do not expect any delays with the Eastern Caribbean, Nassau, Bahamas or the Virgin Islands services.
Offices and Terminals:
All offices and terminals will be open normal business hours.

Update #1 – 08/02/06
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Anguilla, St Barthelemy, St Maarten, British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the US. Tropical Storm Chris is moving toward west-northwest at 10 MPH with sustained winds of 65 MPH.
Barges:
The Jacksonville voyage 91n is in San Juan this morning, will depart the morning of Thursday, August 3rd, and is expected to arrive in Jacksonville on schedule.
The La Reina voyage 30s from Pennsauken is located north of storm and will be delayed one day to arrive San Juan Friday, August 4th.
The El Conquistador voyage 92s from Jacksonville is also waiting for storm to pass and is expected to arrive in San Juan Saturday, August 5th also one day off schedule.
Offices and Terminals:
All offices and terminals will be open normal business hours.
San Juan Terminal : Due to expected deteriorating weather conditions we recommend delivering your cargo for the Jacksonville voyage 91n by noon today.
