Update on Gulf Operations Following Hurricane Katrina

To our Valued Gulf Customers,

Due to the devastating damage caused to our Gulfport, MS facility and to our office in New Orleans, LA by Hurricane Katrina, our Gulfport, MS operations are closed until further notice. We intend to add our published three weekly Gulf sailings from Puerto Cortes, Honduras and Santo Tomas, Guatemala to load/unload at Port Everglades, FL.

Our sailing schedule to Santo Tomas, GT and Puerto Cortez, HN for the next week will be as follows:

Apparel shippers, please continue to make your bookings through our apparel desk in Miami at 1-800-835-2807.

All other customers continue to call our booking department in Jacksonville at 1-800-CROWLEY.

CSX continues its embargo on all traffic into and out of the Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans, Louisiana area until further notice. Traffic between Englewood, TX and their Southern terminals will be held at origin until it is deemed safe to move. CSX has advised that they will protect traffic from the Southeast to the West Coast via a diverted route from Atlanta to St. Louis every other day. This route will be used by both CSX and the UP. Crowley personnel are working with CSX and truckers to insure the safest route and best possible alternatives when moving cargo.
