Hurricane Dorian – Update 9

UPDATE 9 – 09/02/2019 – 0800 hrs.

Safety remains our primary focus. We are working with the U.S. Coast Guard and other industry leaders as Hurricane Dorian approaches the eastern coast of Florida, to ensure all personnel, vessels, and your cargo, remain safe and out of harm’s way.
San Juan Vessel Operations:

The NAL 455-3 (NAL9034S) from Pennsauken, NJ arrived on schedule in San Juan. The M/V El Coqui (SAL9069S) from Jacksonville, FL is on schedule to arrive in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Monday at 0730. While it is the Labor Day holiday for the U.S., our San Juan Terminal will be open, and our teams will be working the vessel. We will have gate hours from 0800 to 1530 for cargo pickup. Hacienda will be closed in observance of the holiday on Monday.
Jacksonville Vessel Operations:

The M/V Varamo (SZV9036S) was scheduled to arrive in Jacksonville on Wednesday, September 4, before heading to Port Everglades, then Panama and Costa Rica. As a function of the storm, this ship will omit the port of Jacksonville call and only call Port Everglades on Friday, September 6, before continuing to Central America.
Port Everglades Terminal and Vessel Operations:

As of Sunday, September 01 at 1800, all vessel operations have been suspended and our terminal is currently closed. The following vessels were scheduled to arrive in Port Everglades between Saturday and Tuesday, however, due to the storm’s path, these vessels are currently at sea maintaining a safe distance from Hurricane Dorian while awaiting clearance to reenter and berth.

• M/V Pegasus J, voyage NZV9107S, was originally scheduled to depart Saturday, August 31, 2019 for Puerto Cortes, Honduras and Santo Tomas, Guatemala
• M/V Paradero, voyage NZV9105S, was originally scheduled to depart Monday, September 2, 2019 for Puerto Cortes, Honduras and Santo Thomas, Guatemala
• M/V Varamo, voyage SZV9034N, was originally scheduled to arrive for northbound cargo discharge on Tuesday, September 3 from Panama and Costa Rica
Jacksonville Terminal:

We are closely monitoring the storm’s track to determine the viability of safely conducting operations on Tuesday, September 3.
This is an extremely powerful hurricane. We will continue to coordinate with our vessels to keep them clear of the storm’s path and with our shoreside personnel to protect people, facilities, equipment and cargo. As the storm track moves towards the eastern coast of Florida, we will provide further updates.
