Hurricane Dorian – Update 12

Safety has remained our focus throughout the events of Hurricane Dorian, and will continue as such, while the storm moves northward.

Jacksonville Terminal, Gate and Warehouse Operations:

Our warehouses and administrative offices in the Jacksonville area will resume normal business hours on Thursday, Sept. 5. Our terminal and gates will open at 1200 (noon) on Thursday, Sept. 5. To make up for days lost as a function of the storm and help you to regain velocity in your supply chain, we will hold extended gate hours at our Jaxport terminal (3001 Talleyrand Ave) until 2400 Thursday. That location will reopen, with again extended gate hours, from 0600 on Friday, Sept. 6 until 1700. Our Talleyrand terminal (1163 Talleyrand Ave) will be open from 1200 (noon) on Thursday, Sept. 5, until 1700, and from 0800 to 1700 on Friday, Sept. 6.

Once cleared by local authorities, the vessels which were being held safely at sea, will begin entering port in Jacksonville for cargo operations. M/V El Coqui (SAL9071S) is scheduled for an on-time arrival, discharge, reload, and sailing to San Juan on Friday, Sept 6. Additionally, El Conquistador (SAL9936S) will depart for San Juan shortly after the M/V El Coqui, giving us two departures for Puerto Rico this week.

North Atlantic Operations:

The NAL 455-3 (NAL9034N), which was delayed by the storm on its voyage to Penn Terminals, is scheduled for an arrival, discharge, reload, and departure for San Juan on Sunday, Sept. 8. The Marty J (NAL9035N) is on schedule to depart from San Juan tomorrow, Sept. 5, for an on-time arrival at Penn Terminals on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Wilmington Operations:

In advance of Dorian reaching the coastal Carolina area, local authorities have set condition Zulu for the Port of Wilmington for both Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept 6., indicating that the port is closed to all vessels and personnel. This storm closure will impact the ability of our customers to deliver cargo over the next two days for our Tuesday, Sept. 12 vessel departure from Wilmington to Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador. Customers who prefer to deliver their cargo to Jacksonville, Fla., for this sailing, instead of waiting for the Port of Wilmington to be cleared by authorities for reopening, should contact their account manager or customer care at 1-800-CROWLEY for assistance.

Port Everglades Terminal, Gate and Warehouse Operations:

We have resumed normal operations, including vessel loading and unloading, at our South Florida terminal. To provide additional velocity to your cargo as it resumes movement through the supply chain, we are holding extended gate hours until 2200 today and tomorrow, for cargo deliveries at our Port Everglades terminal. We will resume normal business hours thereafter.
