Vehicle Shipping Rates

Vehicle will be inspected at time of delivery and must meet the following requirements:

• A booking reservation must be made prior to delivery of the vehicle.
• Vehicle must be delivered to port 24 hours prior to scheduled sailing time.
• Vehicle should be in running condition and keys must remain with the vehicle.
• Vehicle must contain ¼ tank of gas or less (if vehicle is loaded in a container, fuel tank must be drained and battery disconnected). Vehicles containing more than ¼ tank of gas prior to shipping will be charged $75 for fuel removal.
• Vehicle should be clean and free of dirt and debris.
• Non-running vehicles will be accepted upon approval. Additional fee will apply.
• Modified vehicles are subject to rate change.
• Motorcycles and ATV’s are accepted to San Juan, Puerto Rico only.
• No personal items are permitted inside the vehicle. The only item allowed is the spare tire and a jack in the trunk.

Instructions for Delivering to Jacksonville, FL

• All required documentation should be sent to Documentation@crowley.com before arrival to the Jacksonville terminal. If documentation is not received, park in the designated parking spots for customers, and call 904-727-2475 for instructions.
• Vehicles should be delivered during receiving hours.
• An escort is required for vehicles exceeding 835 CFT, units not in container, oversized units and truckers delivering vehicles on car carriers without a TWIC card. An escort is provided to enter the port at a cost of $40 (payable at 904-727-2475).

Instructions for Picking Up at San Juan, PR UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

• Before you pick up your vehicle, you will need to contact Crowley Customer Care at (888) 411-6442 to confirm that cargo is unloaded and available. This will help avoid any inconvenience of cargo non-release.
• After confirming vehicle availability, you will need to visit the Crowley car division (Lindbergh St., San Juan, PR 00907, across from Isla Grande Airport) to obtain the original bill of lading. You will need to provide your photo I.D. and booking number for this process. *Due to the high volume of vehicles being shipped, customers will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. *
• Next, Crowley Employees from the car division will instruct the customer on the location of the vehicle from which the customer will obtain the appraisal form SC2071, which is left by Hacienda Inspectors inside vehicle. This paperwork is needed to complete the online tax payment in Hacienda and obtain the vehicle release.
• Taxes will need to be paid online at https://suri.hacienda.pr.gov/. The customer has to provide a copy of the title of the vehicle, the appraisal form SC2071, and the original bill of lading. Documents can be scanned, or picture uploaded to Hacienda. Other documents (Social Security card or other forms of identification) may be required depending on the case and/or the type of vehicle.
• Once taxes are paid, the you will receive Hacienda’s release document and forms 2042 & 2015. This can take 3 to 7 days. Only upon final release will you be able to take delivery of your vehicle.
• You may then return, with the Crowley original bill of lading, to Crowley’s car division (Lindbergh St., San Juan, PR 00907, across from Isla Grande Airport) to pick up your vehicle. Due to the high volume of vehicles being shipped, customers will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Vehicle Free Time
  • Non-commercial vehicles will have nine calendar days (inclusive of weekends and holidays) to pick up the vehicle, following the receipt of the Hacienda release form.
  • Over-dimensional vehicles (1,100 cubic feet) will have seven calendar days (inclusive of weekends and holidays) to pick up the unit, following the receipt of the Hacienda release form.
