To participate as a Certified Small Business Supplier, Crowley requires all Small Businesses to maintain compliant Certification(s). As Crowley policy directly with Small Business Administration requirements, we encourage Small Business Certification eligibility inquiries are directed to available resources at the Small Business Administration, your local APEX Accelerator, or through your local Chamber of Commerce.

Self-Certified Small Disadvantaged Business Certification
Our US Government offers opportunity for Small Businesses to register on SAM.gov as ‘Self-Certified Small Disadvantaged Business’. Once registration is complete, the business is assigned a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). The SBA requires all Small Businesses to maintain a UEI to be considered an active Small Business in the SBA Database. Crowley’s policy directly aligns with the SBA requiring an active UEI if a Supplier is seeking to be classified as a Small Disadvantaged Business with Crowley.

Our Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) provides support for all of our diverse and small business suppliers, works closely with Procurement and IT to maintain a database of qualified companies, liaisons with our contracting and commercial teams to support the procurement process, and acts as an advocate for diverse and small business supplier utilization.
