New Video Features Crowley’s Support for Veterans in Puerto Rico, Florida
Crowley successfully transported and delivered 6,000 wreaths this holiday season to honor veterans buried at cemeteries in Puerto Rico and Jacksonville, Fla. A new video released today showcases the company’s contributions as a sponsor of Wreaths Across America.
Crowley provided trucking, cross-docking, warehousing, and ocean transportation services using temperature-controlled containers to honor U.S. veterans and military service members. In total, Crowley contributed more than $40,000 to Wreaths Across America through in-kind supply chain services and monetary donations from its Solutions business unit, which serves the government and military, and the Crowley Cares Foundation.
Following Covid-19 prevention health protocols, volunteers placed wreaths at the Puerto Rico National Cemetery in Bayamon, Atlantic Gardens Veterans Cemetery in Aguadilla, and the Jacksonville National Cemetery to support ceremonies on Dec. 19.
“At Crowley, this year’s theme is very important, Tribute to the Heroes of Our Land, because it gives us the opportunity to honor the thousands of Puerto Ricans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces,” said Salvador Menoyo, vice president, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, for Crowley Logistics. “While we have all experienced challenges in 2020, we recognized and honor the sacrifices by our military members, both past and present.”
As the longest serving U.S. logistics company in the mainland-Puerto Rico trade, Crowley Logistics provides end-to-end supply chain services in Puerto Rico and globally with more than 300 employees on the island. In addition, the Crowley Solutions business unit is a leading supply chain, maritime, energy and technology provider to the military and government.
