We wish to advise the trade that the Members of the Central America Discussion Agreement (CADA) will be increasing the Honduran Port Security Charge on all imports and exports for Honduras effective September 1, 2005.

The Members of the Central American Discussion Agreement (CADA) wish to advise the trade that the Honduran Port Authority has recently announced an increase to the current port security charges due to the implementation of an X-Ray system effective September 1, 2005. As a result of this decision, the Members will increase their current Honduran Port Security Charge, applicable on all Honduran import and export cargo, effective September 1st, 2005, as follows:
LCL and Break Bulk cargoes
$ 2.00 W/M per cubic meter or 1000 kilos, minimum charge $5.00.
Ro-Ro Cargoes: Cars, Trucks, Buses, self propelled Units.
$50 per unit
Container and Trailers
$40.00 per container or trailer
The above also includes the Honduran X-Ray Charge.
