Notice to the Puerto Rico Trade

The Government’s fiscal year 05-06 budgetary issues in Puerto Rico continue. Reports from Puerto Rico indicate that the Government is moving closer to a resolution. No general strikes ocurred this week.

Crowley’s terminal in San Juan continues to be fully operational and open normal business hours from 0600-1730 Monday-Friday. We will continue to send updates as the situation changes. Update #2 5/3/2006

The House of Representatives and the Governer of Puerto Rico have not come to a resolution regarding the Government’s fiscal year 05-06 budgetary issues. Rumors continue that the possibility of general strikes in Puerto Rico are expected on Friday, May 5th.

At this time, Crowley’s terminal in San Juan continues to be fully operational. We recommend customers to advance their northbound shipments from Puerto Rico to the earliest possible sailing , and encourage you to bring in your cargo tomorrow, Thursday, May 4th. We will offer extended gate hours tomorrow, Thursday, May 4th from 0600-1900. Following is Crowley’s northbound schedule from San Juan to Jacksonville, FL and Pennsauken, NJ this week:
