SUPPLIER REQUIREMENTS
Committed to Sustainable Procurement
Our sustainable procurement program focuses on reducing social and environmental risks through our commitment to deep engagement with our suppliers throughout our entire value chain. We want to work closely with our suppliers to determine where mutual goals around ESG can be met.
Crowley is using globally recognized value chain evaluation tools, our Supplier Code of Conduct and Sustainable Procurement Policy to foster better alignment around sustainability and inform supplier selection in the future. With our Build a Better Tomorrow, Together! program, we are asking our partners to share our vision and join us in our sustainability efforts by completing an EcoVadis assessment.
Supplier Conduct
We are trusted to deliver goods and services in a safe manner every time. To make that possible, we hold our suppliers to high standards and trust them to care as much about safety and quality as we do.
Our suppliers are currently required to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes detailed language on Crowley’s expectations for suppliers. At the same time, we are working to engage on issues of sustainability and environmental stewardship more actively with our partners.
Our Commitment to Safety
Each company in the Crowley family places the highest emphasis on individual safety, security, environmental protection, and customer satisfaction. Crowley’s Management System focuses on four key elements: Safety, Environment, Quality and Security. This system serves as the foundation of our corporate standards while defining processes to prevent deficiencies and encourage continual improvement.
People trust us to deliver our services in a safe manner every time. To make that possible, we hold our suppliers to high standards and trust them to care as much about safety and quality as we do. These standards include third-party verification audits; and measurements of key metrics.
Review our Supplier Health and Environment Requirements and Vendor Safety Pamphlet for more information.
Our commitment to human rights
Advocacy is a key aspect of our Inclusion and Diversity strategy, and our suppliers are one of our most important stakeholder groups. This is one way we can use our buying power to make the world and our communities a more equitable place and develop a supply base that reflects the demographic diversity of our employees and our customers.
All people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We’re working to ensure our partners provide a workplace that respects the basic human rights and freedoms of all employees, while also combatting child labor, forced labor, discrimination, and other human rights risks in our supply chain.
Collaborate With Suppliers
Our GHG emissions reduction goal includes our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. With more than 80% of our emissions falling under Scope 3, our suppliers’ sustainability programs are critically important to our own ability to reduce GHG emissions.
Your partnership to build collaborative systems and innovative solutions for emissions reductions across our supply chains is a critical requirement for all our suppliers.
